Remember Hard Times

Remember the bad times.
Make a list of the tough breaks you’ve faced (a divorce, loss of a loved one, losing a job).
Recounting what you’ve been through-- and survived-- will help you appreciate what you have now.
Ask yourself: What personal strengths grew out of the experience? How has it helped me value the important things? This provides new perspective on life’s hardships.

  1. sometimes you just have to let the rain fall... i too like to become introspective occasionally, it does help to see things in life more clearly

  2. That's right, Yolo. I reflect back quite a bit and become amazed at how much I've grown from past mistakes. What a wonder! :)

  5. Such good advice Barbara, I don't think we realise how much we can grow through the bad times.

  6. "If you don’t learn from your mistakes, there’s no sense making them."
That about sums it up :-)))

  8. Hi,
    What a beautiful blog!
I like this post because so many people say things like oh, don't think about the past or just try to forget. I know it's best to find a balance, but since forgetting is hard, I love the way this puts reflecting on the past in a positive light.
    Thanks.
